On the way to a wedding reception, some family members, and a dear friend, were involved in a very serious car accident. They are bumped, and bruised, but; they are all okay.
Moments like these, help us to realign our thinking. This is why, it is important to live beautifully. Surround yourself with new experiences, old friends, new friends, and love. I'm not talking about romantic love. Romance may come or not. I'm talking about having the courage to love yourself, in spite of your flaws, in spite of your past; in spite of everyone who says you don't deserve it.
Remove the veil from your life, and be brave. Tap into your courage and don't settle for an ordinary life. That doesn't mean go bungee jumping, or cave diving. It means having the courage to squeeze the juice out of life.
Erma Bombeck said that if she had her life to live all over again, she would do a few things differently, she states:
- "I would have cried and laughed less while watching television, and more while watching life.
- When my kids kissed me impetuously, I would never have said, "Later. Now go get washed up for dinner."
- There would have been more "I love you's and more I'm sorry's."
- But mostly, given another shot at life, I would seize every minute, look at it and really see it...and never give it back."
Darlings, don't arrive at the end of your life with regret. Make the precious moments of your life count.
